# iTrunSo vs Pudding Scan

The clearest difference is price: Pudding Scan at Free against iTrunSo's $1.99. Pudding Scan also leads on rating (4.9 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (211 vs 12). iTrunSo's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 11) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 5 weeks). On review sentiment, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Pudding Scan is free to download; iTrunSo costs $1.99 up front. Pudding Scan sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. iTrunSo asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pudding Scan holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pudding Scan has 211 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 96% of iTrunSo's written reviews are positive against 91% of Pudding Scan's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iTrunSo ships an update every 2 weeks, Pudding Scan every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
