# BJACE vs Open

The clearest difference is rating: BJACE at 5.0 against Open's 2.6. BJACE also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). Open's advantage is ratings volume (84 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BJACE holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Open has 84 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
