# Flat Pack vs Square Heroes

The clearest difference is rating: Flat Pack at 4.7 against Square Heroes's 3.7. Flat Pack also leads on ratings volume (4.4K vs 6) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). Square Heroes's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (100% vs 85%). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Flat Pack sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Square Heroes sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Flat Pack holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Flat Pack has 4.4K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 85% of Flat Pack's written reviews are positive against 100% of Square Heroes's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Flat Pack ships an update weekly, Square Heroes every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
