# Beat Station vs Drumify

The clearest difference is monetization model: Drumify at freemium against Beat Station's subscription. Drumify also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). Beat Station's advantage is ratings volume (496 vs 9) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Beat Station sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Drumify sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $19.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Beat Station holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Beat Station has 496 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Beat Station ships an update every 5 weeks, Drumify every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 30, 2026 and September 14, 2026 respectively.
