# Notetalker EDU vs Tech Passport

The clearest difference is update cadence: Tech Passport at every 8 days against Notetalker EDU's monthly. Notetalker EDU's advantage is iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Notetalker EDU sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Tech Passport sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Notetalker EDU ships an update monthly, Tech Passport every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
