# iLovePDF vs PDFEsign.com PDF E

The clearest difference is rating: iLovePDF at 4.8 against PDFEsign.com PDF E's 4.3. iLovePDF also leads on ratings volume (52K vs 12). PDFEsign.com PDF E's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 18.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iLovePDF sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per month and PDFEsign.com PDF E sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $8.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iLovePDF holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iLovePDF has 52K ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 77% of iLovePDF's written reviews are positive against 80% of PDFEsign.com PDF E's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iLovePDF ships an update every 5 weeks, PDFEsign.com PDF E every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
