# Lightsaber flashlight vs Gravity

The clearest difference is rating: Gravity at 4.5 against Lightsaber flashlight's 3.2. Gravity also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 11 months) and ratings volume (35K vs 22). Lightsaber flashlight's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and review sentiment (59% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lightsaber flashlight sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Gravity sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gravity holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Gravity has 35K ratings behind it against 22, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 59% of Lightsaber flashlight's written reviews are positive against 25% of Gravity's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Lightsaber flashlight ships an update every 11 months, Gravity fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
