# Dragonframe Tether vs StopMotionCraft

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Dragonframe Tether at none against StopMotionCraft's 2. Dragonframe Tether also leads on ads (none vs shown) and iOS requirement (14 vs 17.0). StopMotionCraft's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.2) and update cadence (monthly vs every 3 months). On price, review sentiment and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. StopMotionCraft sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $17.99 per month. Dragonframe Tether asks for nothing beyond the download.

StopMotionCraft holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: StopMotionCraft has 267 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 43% of Dragonframe Tether's written reviews are positive against 36% of StopMotionCraft's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dragonframe Tether ships an update every 3 months, StopMotionCraft monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
