# MsyChords vs InstaChord

The clearest difference is rating: InstaChord at 4.9 against MsyChords's 4.0. InstaChord also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 11 months) and review sentiment (87% vs 75%). MsyChords's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MsyChords sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and InstaChord sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

InstaChord holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: InstaChord has 16 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.
