# Duffy vs 10k Steps+

The clearest difference is update cadence: 10k Steps+ at every 5 days against Duffy's every 5 months. 10k Steps+ also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and review sentiment (100% vs 84%). Duffy's advantage is ratings volume (757 vs 9). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Duffy sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and 10k Steps+ sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

10k Steps+ holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Duffy has 757 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 84% of Duffy's written reviews are positive against 100% of 10k Steps+'s.

Duffy ships an update every 5 months, 10k Steps+ every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and September 23, 2026 respectively.
