# Spoofbox vs Texter

The clearest difference is rating: Texter at 4.6 against Spoofbox's 2.5. Texter also leads on update cadence (monthly vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (1.2K vs 74). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spoofbox sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Texter sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Texter holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Texter has 1.2K ratings behind it against 74, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 22% and 21% positive.

Spoofbox ships an update every 8 months, Texter monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
