# Spoofbox vs Ghost

The clearest difference is rating: Ghost at 4.6 against Spoofbox's 2.5. Ghost also leads on review sentiment (60% vs 22%) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 8 months). Spoofbox's advantage is monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Spoofbox sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Ghost sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ghost holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ghost has 7.7K ratings behind it against 74, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 22% of Spoofbox's written reviews are positive against 60% of Ghost's.

Spoofbox ships an update every 8 months, Ghost every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
