# Evolution of Species vs Phage Invaders

The clearest difference is rating: Evolution of Species at 4.6 against Phage Invaders's 4.0. Evolution of Species also leads on ratings volume (869 vs 9). Phage Invaders's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 4 days vs every 4 months). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Evolution of Species holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Evolution of Species has 869 ratings behind it against 9, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 62% of Evolution of Species's written reviews are positive against 67% of Phage Invaders's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Evolution of Species ships an update every 4 months, Phage Invaders every 4 days. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
