# Greenlite Thermostat vs Lorex Connect

The clearest difference is rating: Lorex Connect at 2.4 against Greenlite Thermostat's 1.8. Lorex Connect also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Greenlite Thermostat's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ratings volume (73 vs 5). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lorex Connect sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Greenlite Thermostat asks for nothing beyond the download.

Lorex Connect holds the better App Store score, 2.4 against 1.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Greenlite Thermostat has 73 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 13% of Greenlite Thermostat's written reviews are positive against 10% of Lorex Connect's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Greenlite Thermostat ships an update every 3 months, Lorex Connect every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
