# Alerts for Reddit vs Infinity for Reddit

The clearest difference is monetization model: Alerts for Reddit at freemium against Infinity for Reddit's subscription. Alerts for Reddit also leads on rating (4.2 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (182 vs 15). Infinity for Reddit's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (86% vs 68%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Alerts for Reddit sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per year and Infinity for Reddit sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Alerts for Reddit holds the better App Store score, 4.2 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Alerts for Reddit has 182 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Alerts for Reddit's written reviews are positive against 86% of Infinity for Reddit's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Alerts for Reddit ships an update every 3 months, Infinity for Reddit weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
