# My Gift List vs Throne

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Throne at none against My Gift List's 3. Throne also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months). My Gift List's advantage is review sentiment (69% vs 38%). On price, monetization model, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. My Gift List sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Throne asks for nothing beyond the download.

Throne holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Throne has 8.3K ratings behind it against 50, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 69% of My Gift List's written reviews are positive against 38% of Throne's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

My Gift List ships an update every 2 months, Throne every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
