# Time Master vs When

The clearest difference is review sentiment: When at 90% against Time Master's 33%. When also leads on rating (4.7 vs 2.3) and ratings volume (28 vs 3). Time Master's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

When holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: When has 28 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 33% of Time Master's written reviews are positive against 90% of When's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
