# Speechify vs Tracktopus

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Speechify at 528K against Tracktopus's 1. Speechify also leads on chart position (#16 vs unranked) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). Tracktopus's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Speechify sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Tracktopus sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tracktopus holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Speechify has 528K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Speechify ships an update weekly, Tracktopus fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 8, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
