# Caffè Nero vs Cardiff Students’ Union

The clearest difference is rating: Cardiff Students’ Union at 5.0 against Caffè Nero's 3.7. Cardiff Students’ Union also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Caffè Nero's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 12 months) and ratings volume (695 vs 4). On price, review sentiment, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Cardiff Students’ Union holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Caffè Nero has 695 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 38% of Caffè Nero's written reviews are positive against 33% of Cardiff Students’ Union's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
