# Sololearn vs SC

The clearest difference is ads: SC at none against Sololearn's shown. Sololearn's advantage is ratings volume (82K vs 1). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Sololearn sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per month and SC sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Sololearn has 82K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 31, 2026 and October 28, 2026 respectively.
