# iVRy vs AVR Remote

The clearest difference is rating: iVRy at 3.9 against AVR Remote's 2.3. iVRy also leads on ratings volume (153 vs 3). AVR Remote's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 3 months) and review sentiment (100% vs 72%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

iVRy holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 2.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: iVRy has 153 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 72% of iVRy's written reviews are positive against 100% of AVR Remote's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

iVRy ships an update every 3 months, AVR Remote every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
