# Local Train Simulator vs Modern Train Driver Game 2023

Local Train Simulator and Modern Train Driver Game 2023 both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 84% of Local Train Simulator's written reviews are positive against 36% of Modern Train Driver Game 2023's. Local Train Simulator also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 3 months). Modern Train Driver Game 2023's advantage is ratings volume (1.7K vs 166). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Local Train Simulator sells 6 one-off in-app purchases and Modern Train Driver Game 2023 sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Modern Train Driver Game 2023 has 1.7K ratings behind it against 166, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of Local Train Simulator's written reviews are positive against 36% of Modern Train Driver Game 2023's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
