# Rocket Reading vs Readability

The clearest difference is price: Readability at Free against Rocket Reading's $0.99. Readability also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 10 months) and ratings volume (25K vs 1). Rocket Reading's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.4). On ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Readability is free to download; Rocket Reading costs $0.99 up front. Rocket Reading sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Readability sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
