# TurnBoard Pro vs BalletActive

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: TurnBoard Pro at none against BalletActive's 2. TurnBoard Pro also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months) and rating (4.5 vs 4.2). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. BalletActive sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $12.99 per month. TurnBoard Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

TurnBoard Pro holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: TurnBoard Pro has 44 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of TurnBoard Pro's written reviews are positive against 93% of BalletActive's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

TurnBoard Pro ships an update fortnightly, BalletActive every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
