# Inkdrop vs Space Notes

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Inkdrop at none against Space Notes's 1. Inkdrop also leads on rating (4.0 vs 3.7) and ratings volume (43 vs 3). Space Notes's advantage is update cadence (every 9 days vs every 4 weeks). On price, ads, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Space Notes sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Inkdrop asks for nothing beyond the download.

Inkdrop holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Inkdrop has 43 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Inkdrop ships an update every 4 weeks, Space Notes every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
