# On the Go vs Giapo

The clearest difference is rating: Giapo at 5.0 against On the Go's 3.0. Giapo also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 3 months). On the Go's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (64% vs 50%). On price, ratings volume, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Giapo holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of On the Go's written reviews are positive against 50% of Giapo's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

On the Go ships an update every 3 months, Giapo every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
