# AmblyoPlay vs Vision Workout

The clearest difference is rating: Vision Workout at 4.7 against AmblyoPlay's 4.0. Vision Workout also leads on ratings volume (1.2K vs 21) and device support (3 vs 1). AmblyoPlay's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7) and ads (none vs shown). On price and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Vision Workout sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per 3 months. AmblyoPlay asks for nothing beyond the download.

Vision Workout holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Vision Workout has 1.2K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 88% of AmblyoPlay's written reviews are positive against 79% of Vision Workout's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AmblyoPlay ships an update every 5 weeks, Vision Workout monthly. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
