# Dashcam vs CheMap

The clearest difference is update cadence: CheMap at every 6 days against Dashcam's every 4 months. On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dashcam sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days and CheMap sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dashcam ships an update every 4 months, CheMap every 6 days. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
