# Musicbox vs Dangify

Musicbox and Dangify both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Dangify's written reviews are positive against 62% of Musicbox's. Dangify also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). Musicbox's advantage is ratings volume (902 vs 29) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Musicbox sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Dangify asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Musicbox against 4.6 for Dangify. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Musicbox has 902 ratings behind it against 29, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 62% of Musicbox's written reviews are positive against 100% of Dangify's.

Musicbox ships an update every 2 months, Dangify every 4 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
