# Taper's Section vs Live Shuffle

The clearest difference is update cadence: Live Shuffle at weekly against Taper's Section's every 3 months. Live Shuffle also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5). Taper's Section's advantage is device support (3 vs 1) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Live Shuffle holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 40 and 26 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Taper's Section's written reviews are positive against 83% of Live Shuffle's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Taper's Section ships an update every 3 months, Live Shuffle weekly. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
