# Poly Dating vs Spawn

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Spawn at none against Poly Dating's 23. Spawn also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Poly Dating's advantage is iOS requirement (15.6 vs 17.0). On price and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Poly Dating sells 19 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Spawn asks for nothing beyond the download.

Poly Dating ships an update every 2 months, Spawn fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
