# Formed vs YDisciple

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: YDisciple at none against Formed's 9. Formed's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2) and chart position (#153 vs unranked). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formed sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. YDisciple asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Formed against 5.0 for YDisciple. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formed has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 99% of Formed's written reviews are positive against 100% of YDisciple's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 2, 2026 respectively.
