# Formed vs SPL To Go

The clearest difference is rating: Formed at 4.9 against SPL To Go's 4.0. Formed also leads on ratings volume (14K vs 5) and chart position (#178 vs unranked). SPL To Go's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formed sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. SPL To Go asks for nothing beyond the download.

Formed holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formed has 14K ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Formed ships an update every 2 months, SPL To Go every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
