# Formed vs DrawNear

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Formed at 14K against DrawNear's 2. Formed also leads on chart position (#199 vs unranked). DrawNear's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 16.6). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formed sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and DrawNear sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Formed against 5.0 for DrawNear. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formed has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Formed ships an update every 2 months, DrawNear every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
