# Formed vs Preventing Decline

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Preventing Decline at none against Formed's 9. Preventing Decline also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Formed's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 2). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formed sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Preventing Decline asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Formed against 5.0 for Preventing Decline. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formed has 14K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Formed ships an update every 2 months, Preventing Decline fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
