# Formed vs Formed Discipleship

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Formed Discipleship at none against Formed's 9. Formed Discipleship also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). Formed's advantage is ratings volume (14K vs 1) and chart position (#193 vs unranked). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Formed sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Formed Discipleship asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Formed against 5.0 for Formed Discipleship. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Formed has 14K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
