# Prometheus vs TCCC

The clearest difference is rating: TCCC at 5.0 against Prometheus's 4.3. TCCC also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and update cadence (every 6 months vs every 16 months). Prometheus's advantage is ratings volume (16 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TCCC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Prometheus has 16 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Prometheus ships an update every 16 months, TCCC every 6 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
