# GCCC vs Midnight Greens

The clearest difference is rating: Midnight Greens at 5.0 against GCCC's 4.2. Midnight Greens also leads on update cadence (every 3 months vs every 26 months). GCCC's advantage is monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Midnight Greens holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GCCC has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 100% and 100% positive.

GCCC ships an update every 26 months, Midnight Greens every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
