# GCCC vs Mercies

The clearest difference is rating: Mercies at 5.0 against GCCC's 4.2. Mercies also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 26 months). GCCC's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (5 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Mercies holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: GCCC has 5 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

GCCC ships an update every 26 months, Mercies every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
