# Watch Faces vs SmartKey

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SmartKey at 100% against Watch Faces's 52%. SmartKey also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 10) and ads (none vs shown). Watch Faces's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.5) and update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months). On price there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Watch Faces sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. SmartKey asks for nothing beyond the download.

Watch Faces holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Watch Faces has 5.7K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 52% of Watch Faces's written reviews are positive against 100% of SmartKey's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Watch Faces ships an update every 8 days, SmartKey every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 2, 2026 respectively.
