# SimpleTexting vs TextMyBusiness

The clearest difference is monetization model: TextMyBusiness at free against SimpleTexting's free with in-app purchases. TextMyBusiness also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). SimpleTexting's advantage is ratings volume (3.4K vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

TextMyBusiness holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SimpleTexting has 3.4K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SimpleTexting ships an update every 3 months, TextMyBusiness every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 10, 2026 respectively.
