# GateGoing vs MyZmanim

The clearest difference is rating: MyZmanim at 4.4 against GateGoing's 3.9. MyZmanim also leads on ratings volume (106 vs 19). GateGoing's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 8 months). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MyZmanim holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 3.9. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MyZmanim has 106 ratings behind it against 19, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 75% of GateGoing's written reviews are positive against 70% of MyZmanim's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

GateGoing ships an update every 10 days, MyZmanim every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on September 26, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
