# Temp Mail vs Potatso

The clearest difference is rating: Temp Mail at 4.7 against Potatso's 4.4. Temp Mail also leads on ratings volume (20K vs 6.1K). Potatso's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (58% vs 47%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Mail sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Potatso sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $5.99 per year. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Temp Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 20K and 6.1K respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 47% of Temp Mail's written reviews are positive against 58% of Potatso's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Temp Mail ships an update every 2 months, Potatso fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
