# Temp Mail vs Temp Mail

The clearest difference is monetization model: Temp Mail at free with in-app purchases against Temp Mail's subscription. Temp Mail also leads on update cadence (every 2 months vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (20K vs 2K). Temp Mail's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and review sentiment (80% vs 47%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Temp Mail sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Temp Mail sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.7 for Temp Mail against 4.7 for Temp Mail. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Temp Mail has 20K ratings behind it against 2K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of Temp Mail's written reviews are positive against 80% of Temp Mail's.

Temp Mail ships an update every 2 months, Temp Mail every 17 months. Both last shipped on October 12, 2026.
