# Metadata vs Exif Metadata Remover Viewer

The clearest difference is ads: Metadata at none against Exif Metadata Remover Viewer's shown. Metadata also leads on review sentiment (24% vs 12%) and ratings volume (222 vs 39). Exif Metadata Remover Viewer's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0) and iOS requirement (16.6 vs 26.4). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metadata sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $0.99 per month and Exif Metadata Remover Viewer sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Exif Metadata Remover Viewer holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metadata has 222 ratings behind it against 39, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 24% of Metadata's written reviews are positive against 12% of Exif Metadata Remover Viewer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Metadata ships an update every 4 months, Exif Metadata Remover Viewer every 3 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
