# Ezza vs Messenger VPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ezza at weekly against Messenger VPN's every 5 months. Messenger VPN's advantage is ratings volume (3.6K vs 21). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ezza sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Messenger VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Ezza against 4.5 for Messenger VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Messenger VPN has 3.6K ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ezza ships an update weekly, Messenger VPN every 5 months. The most recent releases landed on October 21, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
