# Ezza vs Xcom VPN

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ezza at weekly against Xcom VPN's every 3 weeks. Ezza also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Xcom VPN's advantage is ratings volume (191 vs 21). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Ezza sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.49 per month and Xcom VPN sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Ezza against 4.5 for Xcom VPN. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Xcom VPN has 191 ratings behind it against 21, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Ezza ships an update weekly, Xcom VPN every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on June 1, 2026 and September 27, 2026 respectively.
