# Scan PDF vs Darksy

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Scan PDF at 80% against Darksy's 22%. Scan PDF also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.4) and device support (3 vs 1). Darksy's advantage is ratings volume (6.7K vs 18) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Scan PDF sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Darksy sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Scan PDF holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Darksy has 6.7K ratings behind it against 18, so its average is the more settled of the two.
