# Pura vs Nuuly

The clearest difference is monetization model: Pura at free with in-app purchases against Nuuly's subscription. Pura also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 66%) and chart position (#152 vs unranked). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Nuuly holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Pura has 182K ratings behind it against 31K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 90% of Pura's written reviews are positive against 66% of Nuuly's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Pura ships an update every 2 weeks, Nuuly every 9 days. Both last shipped on November 1, 2026.
