# VetPrep vs Vet Quiz

VetPrep and Vet Quiz both sit at 3.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 46% of VetPrep's written reviews are positive against 0% of Vet Quiz's. VetPrep also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (29 vs 4). Vet Quiz's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 4 months). On price, rating, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VetPrep sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Vet Quiz asks for nothing beyond the download.

Vet Quiz holds the better App Store score, 3.5 against 3.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VetPrep has 29 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 46% of VetPrep's written reviews are positive against 0% of Vet Quiz's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VetPrep ships an update every 4 months, Vet Quiz every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
